ISMA Clinic — Integrated Sleep Medicine Assessment

A snoring clinic Harley Street combining specialist sleep apnoea assessment with private GP care — the most efficient route to Professor Vik Veer.

Integrated Sleep Medicine Assessment

Joint Sleep & GP Clinic

As a sleep apnoea surgery London specialist, I have spent many years treating patients with complex sleep conditions. While I am comfortable dealing with conditions within my specialty, sleep conditions often spill over into many wider medical issues such as endocrine, cardiac, respiratory, or neurological conditions.

In the past, patients often had to see multiple specialists separately, leading to delays and repeated tests. I wanted to create a better way: a service where my expertise as an obstructive sleep apnoea specialist London is combined with a holistic Private GP assessment — one that can manage the related medical conditions (such as thyroid, blood pressure, diabetes etc), and coordinate onward referrals when needed.

In this new innovative clinic, patients have a sleep study (done at home - no spending nights in a noisy hospital), complete online sleep questionnaires, and then receive detailed sleep report from Professor Vik Veer.

Patients then meet with our Private GP for a focused assessment and examination. Available blood results, the sleep report and treatment options will be clearly explained, whilst also addressing medical conditions that are commonly associated with sleep problems.

This combined approach ensures that patients not only understand their sleep disorder but also receive cohesive care for the broader health issues that surround it.

Our aim is simple: to give patients clarity, direction, and a clear pathway that addresses both sleep and overall health.

"In February this year I visited Professor Vik Veer at his London clinic, which proved to be extremely rewarding as I was very anxious and worried about my condition. His calming manner put me at my ease straight away. He listened to what I had to say and then explained in easy-to-understand terms the options that were available to me. I left his clinic at much more ease and would highly recommend his services." Google Review, 5 stars — Bill J

How the Pathway Works — £395

The entire process takes approximately 2–3 weeks from registration to your GP appointment. The WatchPAT sleep study and reports are completed remotely; you travel to Harley Street only for the in-person consultation.

  1. Initial TestingWatchPAT home sleep study device
You will complete validated sleep questionnaires and undergo a WatchPAT home sleep study. The WatchPAT device is posted to your home — you wear it overnight in your own bed and return it in the prepaid envelope. It measures oxygen levels, pulse rate, respiratory effort, snoring intensity, sleep stages, and apnoea-hypopnoea index (AHI). Once complete, the data is automatically uploaded for analysis.

  2. Blood Results
Please provide any existing blood results you have for analysis. If you do not have any recent results, these can be arranged at a private clinic at an additional cost. Bloods are an important part of the holistic picture — conditions such as thyroid disorders, diabetes, and anaemia commonly affect sleep.

  3. Expert Reports from Professor Vik Veer
After reviewing your sleep study and questionnaire responses, Professor Vik Veer will provide a written report incorporating your questionnaire results, and a personalised video explanation of your sleep study findings. Both reports are made available to you before your GP appointment, so you arrive fully informed and ready to discuss next steps.

  4. GP Consultation with Dr Natasha ThandrayenDr Natasha Thandrayen, Private GP
You will have a face-to-face consultation with Dr Natasha Thandrayen at 150 Harley Street, London W1G 7LQ. Appointments are 30 minutes and are held Monday to Friday, usually between 11:15am and 2pm (other times are sometimes available). Dr Natasha will conduct a physical examination, answer any questions you have about Professor Veer’s report, and discuss treatment options and onward referrals. You will also receive a clinic letter from Dr Natasha following your review.

Note: A video consultation is available if this is more convenient, but please be aware that a physical examination cannot be performed remotely.

Frequently Asked Questions

At the ISMA clinic you complete a home sleep study and online questionnaires beforehand. Professor Vik Veer then produces a personalised video report and written summary of your results. You then meet Dr Natasha Thandrayen, a private GP, who reviews blood results, examines you, explains the findings, and maps out your next steps — all in one joined-up pathway.

NHS GP referrals for sleep assessment can involve lengthy waiting times and may not include the breadth of specialist input available privately. The ISMA clinic is designed to deliver Professor Veer's specialist sleep surgery expertise alongside holistic GP management, without the delays associated with NHS pathways.

Professor Veer reviews your home WatchPAT sleep study data, your completed questionnaire scores, and any existing medical information to assess for obstructive sleep apnoea, snoring, and related breathing conditions. His video and written report explains your results clearly and outlines possible treatment pathways.

The home sleep study runs overnight in your own bed. Professor Veer's video and written report are prepared before your appointment. The in-person consultation with Dr Thandrayen is a focused session covering your sleep results, blood tests, physical examination, and treatment planning.

Yes. Because the sleep study device is posted to your home and the initial report is delivered digitally, patients from anywhere in the UK can access the ISMA assessment before travelling to the Harley Street clinic for their in-person consultation with Dr Thandrayen.

As a snoring clinic Harley Street, the ISMA service offers prompt access to consultant-level assessment, a detailed personalised report, and coordinated GP management — typically within weeks rather than months.
